Selena Gomez is an internationally well-known actress and singer. Her involvement has included many projects, but her involvement in the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place has enjoyed the highest success. Selena's full name is Selena Marie Gomez. Born on July 22nd, 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mother, Amanda Cornett was just 16 when Selena was conceived. She got her first showbiz work at the age of 9 when she was Gianna on Barney and her Friends. The result was that she became one those children that played the most well-known and famous anthropomorphic red dinosaur in all of history. Selena participated in numerous episodes from seasons 7 and 8. She worked between 2001-2003. Selena was not the only one to be featured in Barney and his Friends at this time. Demi Loveto also worked in the series. After the series ended, Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles on other shows and films but was not particularly successful. In 2003 she was given an unimportant role in Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) as well as a role in Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. Also, she was offered the part as Emily Grace Garcia in the film in 2006. Brain Zapped program for which she wrote her own song.
